We are delighted to announce that an amazing grant of £629,552 has been pledged by the Premier League, FA and Government’s Football Foundation, in order to help us fund our new 3G pitch. We have been working for two years with Moretonville Junior FC, Winslow Junior FC and MK Dons on the bid, and all three clubs will benefit from using the new pitch outside of school hours, along with the wider community. You can read the official Football Foundation press release here.

This grant, along with the support of the London Marathon Charitable Trust, is a true endorsement of the quality of the Sports Campus design as well as the significant positive outcomes that it will create for every student in school, and for so many others locally.
Of course, we know that the next year will remain challenging, as we strive to raise the remaining £700k we will need in order to complete the building and open the Sports Campus on schedule in late 2020. I do need to ask, therefore, for your continued support of our fundraising activities in the next academic year. We have lots of things planned, including our Gala Dinner at Williams F1 in November, and we’ll also be supporting students to create their own fundraising campaign, led by a Student Campaign Board.
We will be holding a whole school celebratory, sports-themed mufti day on 18th July to give the students an opportunity to get involved in some fun activities, and get every Form group thinking about how they can fundraise together. Having the support of everyone in our community really does make a huge difference, and inspires others.
In the meantime, on behalf of the whole school, thank you for your continued support, and please join us in taking a moment to pause and celebrate such a significant investment in the future of The Royal Latin.
