Year 7 Charity Fayre

Written by: Miss Dobson (Head of Year 7)

On Friday 3rd May year 7 held their charity fayre in aid of their chosen charity, Woodgreen Animal charity. Students worked in groups to run a stall to help raise the money. Stalls included: Foods of the World where people could buy homemade goodies including feta and spinach pie, baklava and Spanish biscuits. Other stalls saw students guessing the name of the teddy, how many sweets in the jar, splat the rat and many others. The day was a real success and was well attended by students and parents. The fayre raised a total of £626.74.

As part of this charity module in PSHE the year 7 students also took part in a sponsored Zumba. There were great levels of participation and energy levels were high as they danced their way through an hour of Zumba. Sponsor money is still coming in so we will have to wait to announce the final total raised until after half term.

Well done to year 7 they have done a great job in raising lots of money for the charity of their choice.
