We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Website! As you can see, there have been many changes, all of which have been designed to enhance the experience of the user on any device. This means that the webpage adapts to the screen size of the device, helping navigation and reading of content throughout our website.
We have also introduced several new features which aims to add more current information on a regular basis without the need to search for it. The slider bar at the top of the page will be used to highlight important timely information that we would like to share. The News section has contributions from our Student Journalist team on activities and events that happen throughout the year which will give visitors a current flavour of what is going on at RLS. The events slider within the News sections rotates through the most signficant up and coming events that are in our Calendar and there are many other tweaks throughout the site that adds to the viewers’ experience.
Whilst you are getting to grips with the new menu system (which is quite different to our old site), you may wish to use the search feature which should speed up locating the content you are really looking for. We found that as our previous website grew, the menu system became quite busy and we have therefore streamlined it.
We would like to thank Weaving Webs Ltd (a local company) who we have worked closely with over the past 6 months for all their hard work. We would also like to say a particular thank you to Martyn Thompson, the Managing Director, who himself, is an Old latin of the school. The links we have made as a result of this project have led to Yellow Moose being able to offer the local community “Creation Education” workshops on design and marketing.
Another exciting feature that will be available to current parents, is the imminent launch of an app that will allow easier access to the parent portal via a mobile device. This will be communicated via email so watch this space!
