Library

Great school libraries are about space – a space that provides safety and comfort, a space that welcomes all students, and gives all equal access. A space that questions, and entices, and excites. A space where all students are free to travel on their learning journey and are supported and inspired by knowledgeable librarians.

We’ve long known that a love of reading and writing can help children flourish at school and go on to succeed at work. At a time when children and young people are facing a multitude of pressures at school, at home and in their social lives, it is vital that we do everything we can to help them develop the resilience they need to cope with life’s challenges — something that we know a love of reading and writing can help deliver.

With over 8000 books in the library, including fiction, non fiction, graphic novels, manga, newspapers, journals, A level textbooks and GCSE Revision books we have something for everyone!

At the Royal Latin we encourage students to use the library as a perfect place to study as the quiet working atmosphere inspires diligent and purposeful independent learning and preparation for the use of a university library.

To provide students the opportunity to complete coursework or homework, either during supervised study sessions or before/after school, break/lunchtime, we offer comfortable seating for up to 85 students. 17 computers are available along with a printer and copier for student use.

The library is open :

Monday to Thursday: 8.00 am – 4:30 pm

Friday: 8.30 am – 3:30 pm
