Building Community
FRLS is a registered charity run by volunteer parents/carers and staff. We organise social events throughout the year so that the school community can get to know each other in a more relaxed atmosphere, and raise funds.
We also support RLS school events such as Sports Day, Year 7 Meet the Tutor, and the Carol concert where we donate mulled wine and mince pies.
We set up WhatsApp groups for each year group, as a ‘parent to parent’ space to exchange information or advice and find that missing jumper! These are not groups run by the school – please always contact the school if you need to find out specific information or have a particular concern. If you would like to join, please email us.
If you are looking for school uniform, we run a second hand uniform sale in June each year and we have a Facebook page for parents to sell unwanted uniform, sports gear, etc The Royal Latin – Secondhand Buy & Sell
Fundraising
- We have two green textile bins on Chandos Road – please drop your unwanted clothes and shoes here to help raise funds for the school.
- Every penny raised goes back into the school to enhance the students’ education and learning experiences. Here is a snapshot of our 2024-25 year.
Get Involved
Supporting FRLS events and activities is a great way to feel part of the school community, have some fun and make a difference to our children’s learning experiences. We welcome everyone and you don’t have to be a committee member to lend a hand! If you think you could help for even just a few hours on an ad-hoc basis, please get in touch to join our occasional helpers’ group.
We always want to hear your ideas for new social events/fund-raisers, have your expertise and help, big or small. We are very approachable and friendly and would love to hear from you!
