Hi, I’m Will and it is a real privilege to be the Head Boy for the upcoming academic year. I currently study Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Spanish at A-Level, and would love to pursue a degree of Maths and Economics at university.

Throughout my tenure at the Latin, I have loved getting involved in as many events as I possibly can, seeing all students be themselves and showcasing their wide variety of talents. For me, sporting fixtures and house sports have been a personal standout, watching students come together in a way that goes beyond the classroom is inspiring, and something that the Latin is uniquely incredible at encouraging. Alongside house drama and music, all students have the opportunity to bond and experience the well-constructed competition between the houses.

Outside of school, I play far too much golf and cricket, but these sports have shaped my mentality around involvement and enjoyment and I am therefore keen to encourage students to pursue their passions, no matter how big or small, and to step outside their comfort zones.

We have an incredible student leadership team lined up, and I know I cannot wait to begin working with the others and see what the year ahead brings!
Hello, my name is Keira and I am honoured to be this year’s Head Girl. I am currently studying Biology, Philosophy and Geography with the hope to study Biological Sciences at University. I have a passion for debating, football and cooking.

Over my short time so far at the Latin, I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in school events. The girls’ football tournament and enrichment day have been key highlights of my time here so far and I look forward to making many more in the coming year. The extracurricular activities I have done at the Latin, during secondary school and outside of school have equipped me with a wide range of skill sets. These differ vastly from communication, organisation and time management to orienteering, public speaking and penalty taking (although I am still working on this one!)  A specific achievement I have is my DofE award, despite struggling with the physical and mental demand of the expedition; the encouragement from my peers spurred me on to complete it. The resilience I learnt from this experience has been vital to many of the tasks I encounter on a day-to-day basis. There are many important aspects to leadership, all of which I intend to carry with me throughout all parts of the role. Representation and communication of students of all age groups are two of my key interests

Over the following year, I aim to improve the student’s access to being heard and expressing their queries and concerns. This will be through the implementation of a scheme called the Student Voice Ladder. It is imperative to me that each and every student has the opportunity to voice their opinions in an environment they feel comfortable and heard. These ensure all students have an opportunity to come forth and be listened to. I look forward to working with the team to help us all achieve our personal best!
Hello! I’m Naia and I am thrilled to be the new Deputy Head Girl here at the Royal Latin School. I am studying Biology, History and English Literature for my A-levels, with the aim of going to university.

I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to represent the school community and to take an active role in school events and activities. Since being at the school, I have wanted to make the most out of my time here, feeling encouraged by the Latin values, taking on student leadership positions, such as becoming a member of the Student Executive, and a Head Prefect. Furthermore, I have become a peer listener and a mentor, which I believe will allow me to continue to develop my relationship with students in the younger years.

Beyond school, I have learnt the importance of teamwork and resilience through playing football for 9 years. At the start of the year, I was lucky enough to take part in the Sixth Form girls football tournament, enabling me to work alongside people from my year that are not necessarily in my classes.

Going forward, my main focus will be on the Student Executive. The Student Executive is a brilliant opportunity for students from each year group to have their voices heard, which is why I wish to continue this initiative going forward.

Whilst embracing new ideas and activities, it is also important for us to show our enthusiasm for upcoming school events, such as the Royal Latin School’s Sports Day, Archive Day and Founder’s Day, which I am incredibly proud to be a part of and can’t wait to experience, as a newer student.
I am looking forward to working alongside my peers to provide the school with a dedicated, approachable and supportive Student Leadership Team for the next year!
Hello, I’m Poppy, and I am incredibly honoured to be Deputy Head Girl this year! I am currently studying Business, Spanish and Media Studies, and I hope to go on to study marketing in the future, potentially alongside media, before pursuing a successful and fulfilling career.
During my time at the Latin, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting involved in school events such as House Sports, House Dance and the School Production. It is always so inspiring to see the teamwork, dedication and hard work shown by both students and staff. These experiences have helped me to develop many valuable skills, which I hope to pass on to younger students.
Outside of school, I train regularly in dance and musical theatre and I spend a lot of my time performing, which I absolutely love. Not only does this help me maintain a positive balance between my studies and social life, but it has also taught me the importance of teamwork, commitment and always supporting others.
As Deputy Head Girl, I am passionate to encourage every student to get involved in school life, whatever their interests may be. I am very excited to work with the new team, and over the next year, I hope that we can continue to strengthen student voice and increase opportunities for student contribution. I am so grateful for this opportunity to represent the school, and I am committed to promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone in our school community.
Hello, I’m Raghav, and I am deeply honoured and greatly excited to take on the role of Deputy Head Boy this year. For my A-Levels, I am studying biology, chemistry and maths, and hope to read biology at university, or become a cricket journalist – reflecting my main passions.

I love the school and take pride in being a student here, participating in Green Touch and the school magazine team outside of lessons. In addition, I have played cricket for nine years, so summer is definitely my favourite time of year. From activities like these, I have gained skills in teamwork and leadership and have had enriching experiences. It’s important to have down time in between studying, and to make sure that we take care of ourselves as students. This links to my main priority of the year, which is to improve the sleep of students. Sleeping well is one of the most important parts of our health, and allows us to live well.

It is a privilege to be able to do this role, and I hope to have fun, learn new things and grow further as a person. I can’t wait to see the positive impact the team will make on the school, and look forward to working together.
Hello, I’m Grisham. I study Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and I aspire to pursue a degree in Medicine.
Despite only recently joining The Latin, I have quickly grown to love the school. Highlights so far include taking part in house sports events-winning both-and taking on student leadership roles such as Head Prefect, while becoming part of The Latin’s close-knit community.
I am proud to contribute to such a supportive and unified environment, and I look forward to building on this by working alongside the team to make a positive and lasting impact on the school and wider community.

Beyond school, I volunteer within my local faith-based community and at Willen Hospice. Through these experiences, I have developed a deep appreciation for the importance of charitable work and its impact on individuals and communities. This has shaped one of my key priorities for the year which is to enhance student-led engagement in charitable initiatives.

I am honoured to serve as Deputy Head Boy, and I am excited to work with the new team to leave a positive and lasting impact on the school.
