Throughout the year we run Teacher Taster Days for those people who are thinking about becoming a teacher and would like to learn more about the course and profession.

During the day, you will have the opportunity to meet the SCITT team, a current trainee, a newly qualified teacher and to observe a lesson in one of our partnership schools.

There will also be sessions on course structure, student finance and bursaries.  Please contact the office if you would like to attend.

APPLICATION GUIDANCE

Applications for teacher training opened in October and we will continue interviewing until June or until our courses are full.

In order to make an application, you will need to write a personal statement and supply two references. Please use the following links to help you with these:

  • Personal statements & References

It is worth noting that you cannot submit your application form until both references have been completed so make sure that you ask for these in plenty of time.

Once received, and if we would like to call you to interview, we will confirm this in an e-mail to you and via the application portal (UCAS or DFE)

Decisions regarding any conditional offers will normally be made within 24 hours of your interview and will be shared with you via the application portal (UCAS or DFE). Please contact the office for further queries.
