600th Anniversary Events Gallery

To commemorate and celebrate the Royal Latin School’s 600th Year in 2023, we were pleased to present a special programme of events, attended by 1,830 alumni, current students, staff, parents and friends and partners from the local community between November 2022 and November 2023.

Tuesday 15th November 2022 – The launch of our new book  Latin Lives: 600 Years of the Royal Latin School, by Old Latin John Hounslow (Class of 1970)

Tuesday 18th January – 600th Anniversary Launch at the Buckingham Chantry Chapel & the Royal Latin School

Friday 21st April – Head Boys/Girls/Headteachers & Deputies’ Photocall
The current and outgoing senior student leadership team shared their experience with the assembled audience of former Head Boys, Girls and Deputies

Wednesday 3rd May – Archive & Heritage Open Day
John Hounslow, Old Latin and author of Latin Lives delivers a talk, with the assistance of sixth-form Founders

Thursday 8th June – Go Wild at the Latin!
Groups of visitors tour the school site in search of wildlife, led by our wildlife experts

Saturday 17th June – Alumni Summer Reunion

Friday 23rd June – Founders’ Day Celebrations
Mr Hudson presides over the first of two Founders' Day services for the 600th anniversary of the school

Saturday 1st July – 600th Anniversary Family Garden Party

Saturday 30th September – 600th Anniversary Gold Gala Ball

Saturday 14th October – Alumni Autumn Reunion
Mr Hudson welcomes about 100 Old Latins, from the 1940s until the 2010s, back to school

Tuesday 14th November – An Evening With Inspirational Royal Latin Women in Leadership

The panelists reflect on their careers, their time at the Royal Latin, and the lessons they've learned since

Saturday 16th December – Buckingham Christmas Parade
