Sports Campus Student Fundraising

Our Sports Campus is designed to deliver innovative and inspirational new facilities that encourage ALL our students to get involved in sport and to improve their health and wellness. We have always said that whilst we’re fundraising we should maintain that aim and get as many of students raising money in active ways too! Whether it’s been swimming, running, walking, climbing, playing team sports, karting, golfing, dancing, or netballing, we can safely say we’ve been doing that!

These pages show some of the fundraising projects that our students have been involved in. Thank you for supporting them!

The Race to 600 - our £20k challenge!

The Race to 600 was our overarching student fundraising drive to raise funds for the Sports Campus, to get active, work as a team and be part of the success story!

The challenge – devised by our Sports Campus Student Board – was for every form to raise £600 over the academic year. Students could do sponsored activities or organise fundraising events – whatever their passion and skills. Prizes on offer for “finishing the race” were a Form Pizza Party, House Points, and a Sporting Hero plaque dedicated to their form on the wall of the Sports Campus, forever.

Success!

We are so pleased to report that the Race to 600 was an outstanding success story! Not only did our student teams smash their target by 60%, raising £33,000  – the energy and drive our students brought to the Campaign in the latter stages of the project, attracted some amazing interest from the press, and local businesses  – all working to ensure the Sports Campus project completed successfully as a whole. The Leadership, Aspiration, Teamwork & Innovation displayed during the Race to 600 was a fantastic demonstration of our LATIN values. Well done to our fantastic students!

Let’s see how they did it!
